Communities In Schools (CIS) of Georgia and all local Communities In Schools organizations in Georgia are part of a National Network building relationships that empower students to stay in school and succeed in life. As a network, we focus on improving student and school success by providing needed support and services to students and schools. Our CIS model of wraparound services for schools and students was validated by a 5-year independent evaluation to result in the strongest reduction in dropout rates of any existing fully scaled dropout prevention program evaluated.
Our national organization, Communities In Schools, Inc., located in Crystal City, Virginia, sets standards for the CIS Model and affiliate operations, providing support and advocacy for the CIS network that reaches students and schools in 25 states and in the District of Columbia.
Communities In Schools of Georgia provides training and technical support to affiliates and subsidiary staff, and services to students and schools in 41 school districts across 37 counties in Georgia.
