VOLUNTEER WITH COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS
Volunteering with Communities In Schools is an excellent way to give back to local Georgia communities while gaining experience and making a difference in the lives of nearly 100,000 kids.
If you have just one hour to spare during the week, you can help by mentoring and/or tutoring a child at one of our local affiliate sites or Performance Learning Centers®.
Volunteers are always needed for our annual Georgia Education Ball. Opportunities include serving on the volunteers committee, which involves working with other nonprofits and businesses. This year's Education Ball has been postponed until the latter part of 2010.
There are numerous departments and opportunities within CIS of Georgia, the state office, for you to lend a helping hand.
If you are interested in volunteering directly with one of our local network affiliates or Performance Learning Centers® , please visit our Affiliate and PLC network pages to contact the site nearest you.
You can also become a local judge during our annual Student Achievement Month contest and view submissions created by our CIS kids.
