SHINING STAR

I am a shining Star.
With CIS I can go far,
They help me read lots of books.
Books about farmers and books about cooks.
We read about snakes and we read about skates.
I read about foxes and boxes and Green Eggs and Ham.
My favorite part is, “Sam I Am.”
Shining Stars are bright like me.
I can be anything I want to be.
When I work with a tutor, I do my best.
I take a lot of Accelerated Reading Tests.
We work on word wall words and then we spell.
I read a book about a boat with a sail.
The wind made the boat go really far.
Just like me, The Shining Star.
Now that I can read so well, I don’t think that I will fail.
To do anything I want to do and other things as well.
Shining Stars are bright like me.
I will be what I want to be.
CIS helps me read.
Now I know I can succeed.
I am a Shining Star.
