Metal Work

I was homeschooled through 10th grade and entered a public school as a freshman in 2003. I was not able to make up my credits in time to graduate with my real class of 2007. So as a junior this year, I am enrolled at Performance Learning Center of Catoosa County. They are helping me to graduate on time, and I am very eager to do so with flying colors. Without PLC, supported by Communities In Schools of Georgia, I would not be where I am today.

I chose to create a piece that expressed my situation in a sense that I am eager to do what is needed to get where I want to be. Like the copper I have used, I started out as simple and flat, but I am very pliable. As time passed I developed some bumps and bruises, but these only add to my character. Through Communities In Schools, I have begun to blossom and work towards reaching my full potential. I have a long way to go, but with Communities In Schools, I am confident that I will be all that I can be.
