STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT MONTH (SAM)

Student Achievement Month (SAM) is an annual contest that takes place during the month of October and was designed to recognize CIS students, grades K-12, who are sometimes overlooked and often expected to underachieve. The contest helps students set new goals and gain a better understanding of the importance of academic achievement and succeeding in school.
Students enter into one of four categories: written expression, public speaking, creative expression, and computer technology to depict how CIS has made a difference in their life.
Students go through three levels of competition (local, regional, and state). Hundreds of students from 16 counties participated. Our sponsors help CIS provide prizes valued to $1,000 to our state winners. To receive information on how you can support the program or become a sponsor, e-mail rreynolds(at)cisgeorgia.org.
