GEORGIA EDUCATION BALL

Communities In Schools and more than 600 guests, including students, parents, educators, business representatives, and graduation coaches enjoyed student and Broadway talent during the first statewide network fundraising event on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. The '09 Education Ball has been postponed until the latter part of 2010.

David Lewis Leadership Award

Each of these four Communities In Schools graduates were awarded with the 2007 David Lewis Leadership Award. From left to right: MeShae Handerson, Ja-Lisa Walden, Kevin Diaz, and Ann Rhodes. All are in college now, except Ann Rhodes. She has been a teacher in LaGrange County, her home town community, and a CIS of Troup County volunteer since 2006.
