If there is one thing that I know for sure, My love for the CIS is pure. Kids like me love to learn and play, I wish we could do this all day! I love to read, and I like to write, CIS prepares kids for life. Work all day sleep all night, Wake up happy and get it right. Don't be nervous give it a shot, the CIS will help you learn a lot. C is for communities, and, I is for in, S is for schools. Together we win! Ms. Pajak, is my teacher and friend, She was there from beginning to end. No matter what I never give up, I just ask questions whenever I'm stuck. Doing my best one step at a time, CIS helps me shine!

"DESPAIR TO SUCCESS"

At Pebblebrook High School, there were a lot of negative influences that were pulling me down. There were so many of the wrong things happening around me; such as drugs, violence, and alcohol. Due to these negative influences, I performed poorly and eventually wanted to give up, drop out of school, and work. One day a concerned counselor recommended the Cobb County Performance Learning Center (PLC) in Marietta, Georgia. At the PLC, I found a respectable, caring, environment, with people who helped me believe that "Success Is the Only Option."

"My Book Buddy"

My book buddy is like a big sister.
She makes me happy when I get to read to her.

"Newnan Court House"

Working with community leaders to promote Greener Greater Newnan helped me become more confident that I could contribute to the improvement of environmental conditions in Newnan and the world.  Communities In Schools has broadened my horizons and deepened my appreciation of the beauty of my own community.  My watercolor depicts the Coweta County Courthouse, which embodies the spirit of Newnan.
