Life Changing Experience
A Short Film by Jamal Hatcher

Before I came to the Performance Learning Center®, I felt as if I was lost and confused, and I felt a great deal of self-worthlessness. When I learned about Communities In Schools and the PLC, I knew that it was just what I needed to save me from going down the wrong path. As I began to attend the PLC, I found that the students were somewhat alike. Not all of us were honor roll students and we all had our own stories and share of problems. The facilitators and staff here are more than just teachers, they are motivators and leaders.

At the PLC I can be myself, not pretending to be someone I’m not. For instance, I like to take pictures and make videos. Since becoming a PLC student, I have been able to develop my skills in this area. For my project I have produced a biography video depicting the life of a PLC student.

Running time: 5:49
