A Poem By Brianna Martin

Communities In Schools of Atlanta has
Opened my eyes and mind to see
My own full potential and
My own personality
Unique as I am
Naughty and nice
I strive to be an example
Totally thinking twice
I am still learning that hard work
Equals much success
Success is beginning to feel good

Inside of what was once a mess
Now I feel how I never thought I could

Silencing all that I was taught
Creating when I thought I never would
Hearing the words of encouragement
Out of the mouth of my Program Coordinator
Outshines anything negative
Learning to make the negative my motivator
Sixth grade is different and sometimes really hard

And the things that I face sometimes
Throw me off guard

CSKYWLA pause-
So, this is why it is important to
Know
You have to accept help
Whenever it’s available-I’ll
Let CISA at CSKYWLA continue to assist me
And my name on a diploma will soon be
