CIS Walmart Backpack

In preparation for the upcoming school year, Communities In Schools (CIS) of Georgia once again is partnering with Walmart to provide school supplies to underprivileged children through Back to School Drives.  The supplies collected will help at-risk students start the new school year off on the right track by providing materials needed to attain success in the classroom.

From July 15 through August 18, designated bins will be located in the front of the store within select Walmart locations throughout Georgia to collect donated school supplies.  All school supplies are needed, but recommended items include: backpacks, pencils, pens, erasures, crayons, markers, loose leaf paper, glue, binders, calculators, rulers and scissors.

The supply drive will also feature an opportunity to win backpacks filled with school supplies courtesy of Walmart.  Winners will be selected at random from Twitter users using the #CISGABackpack hashtag.  All you have to do is use the hashtag in reference to the back to school drive to be eligible for the drawing.
