Communities In Schools surrounds students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
Parent Resource Center
Communities In Schools of Georgia believes that parents and close family members serve a critical role in a child’s education. By participating in their child’s educational process, this support team can position every student for long-term success in school and in life.
It has been proven that, overall, students with parents who are involved in their education:
Have fewer behavioral problems
Have better academic performance
Are more likely to graduate from high school than students whose parents are not involved.
Parents and family members want to help students. Educators welcome family involvement.
Communities In Schools supports parents and works with educators across the state of Georgia. We created this Parent Resource Center to house a wide variety of information for parents and educators as they seek to build successful “partnerships” that benefit children in their communities.

AT&T helps more students across the country graduate from high school and prepare for college and careers through initiatives such as Aspire. As part of this education initiative last year, AT&T donated $150,000 to CIS of Georgia. Local affiliates used the funding to expose students to possibilities available after high school graduation such as college application assistance, financial aid and the requirements needed to earn a degree. AT&T’s commitment to education helps ensure our nation’s students are better prepared to compete in the global marketplace.
