Communities In Schools March 2014 AT&T PresentationWith the goal of improving graduation rates, AT&T has donated more than $150,000 to CIS of Georgia and local affiliates.  CIS of Coweta is the latest recipient of $60,000 to support the work of a site coordinator at East Coweta High School starting in the 2014-15 school year.  Site coordinators, based in schools, act as conveners who help students with academic and non-academic needs to ensure academic progress, character development and success.

CIS of Coweta’s services will begin with 75 students on a site coordinator’s caseload.  These students will receive sustained services such as home visits and connection to needed resources including professional counseling, mentors and tutors.  Additional resources and asset building initiatives will be available for the entire student population, as well as parent engagement services.
